Each reference librarian acts as a liaison to a number of departments and programs. You can expect that your program's liaison will update you on new resources relevant to your field, teach your instruction sessions, or coordinate with another librarian to teach your sessions, depending on the class time and the librarian's schedule, consider your recommendations during collection development, and build a relationship with you and the faculty members in your department.
