Welcome to the Research Guide for the College Experience class! As part of this course, you will be introduced to the library and learn how library resources and services can help you be a better student. You will take part in two activities: 1.Access Library Orientation Tutorial: do a pretest and participate in e-learning; 2. Watch a Youtube video of the asynchronous library workshop and do a post-test.
Library Orientation Tutorial: This is your introduction to the RCC Library and the services that we offer. You can find the Orientation Tutorial by clicking here.
Asynchronous Library Workshop: ACS 102 students will be informed of the following components: how to access the library during Covid-19; types of information sources; intro to the library website (includes links for making appointments); searching for library resources and filtering results; accessing and using ebooks; accessing and using academic journal articles; searching the online library catalog for books and videos; accessing streaming videos; college experience research guide; how to contact the library (hint: email firstname.lastname@example.org). Then, you accomplish the library component of ACS 102.
After watching the video of the asynchronous library workshop, you are required to do the post-test in order to accomplish the library component of ACS 102.
