SSI 111: Black Studies - Hélénon

Using the RCC Archives to Do Research

To complete your research paper, you're going to use documents drawn from the records of the Boston Black United Front, which are held in the archives at RCC. First, watch the video below about the archives and the Boston Black United Front. Then look through the documents linked below to find resources for your paper.

The documents linked below have been digitized from the archival records of the Boston Black United Front. Some of them pertain directly to the Front, whereas others are materials related to the Black Panther Party and other organizations the Front worked with. You can find elements of the ideology of the Black Power movement in all of the documents.

In addition to using materials held at RCC, you can also find archival materials relating to Black Power at the National Archives at this link.
