Evaluating Web Resources

When looking at web sites, it's a good idea to evaluate them. Ask the following questions:

  • Who is responsible for the web site?
  • When was the web site last updated?
  • What position are they taking on the topic?
  • Where are they getting the information on the web site?
  • Why did they create the web site?

For more on how to critically evaluate web sites and the information they provide, check out the RCC Library's guide Evaluating Websites.
